Last chance before it goes to Barrett Jackson! MOPAR collectors...it doesn't get any better than this! You are looking at one of the rarest MOPAR ever built! This is a 1969 Plymouth GTX 426 HEMI Convertible automatic with 95k miles finished in Saddle Bronze Metallic with Saddle interior built for Canadian export (1 of 5 built). There were only 16 total GTX Hemi convertibles built in 1969 and very few have survived. This car is for the serious MOPAR collector and NOT the casual Hemi fan. In 20 years of selling classics, I have seen very few fender tags that literally almost run out of room because the car is filled with so many options. I will break down a few such as the color (T7) motor 5th digit (J) but the serious buyer considering this car will know how to break down the rest. I have this info available and on file but by listing it this way, it will weed out the "lookers". This car speaks for itself and is coming out of a large MOPAR estate. The rad support stampings is in place and pics are available to serious buyers only. If you would like to have Galen Govier come out and put it in his registry he is more than welcome to inspect the car and I am happy to help coordinate that with the buyer if they deem it necessary (he put a Daytona in the registry out of the same collection) He can be reached at 608.326.6346. This car had what I call a typical 80's "restoration"... I use that term simply because the standards then are not what they are today. It looks like it got some mud in the quarters and trunk lid extension, a small rust repair on the floor board (see pics) fresh carpets and some paint. It looks like what was done on the car was simply to repair and to protect the car from deteriorating further. Keep in mind that the kind of work described was very common on this vintage MOPAR especially on convertibles. The car presents itself very nicely but I will disclose upfront what I find, good or bad. This car is known by a few professionals in the MOPAR community. This is a car not to be missed.
